From the time I was 18 years old, I struggled with being overweight. I tried many weight loss strategies with no success. By chance, I participated in a Health and Happiness Retreat and I lost 5 pounds. This encouraged me to begin a regular meditation practice. Since I began regular meditation, I lost 20 pounds! I have finally fulfilled my dream of sustainable weight loss. An unexpected benefit from my practice is that my 20-year issue with dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) has disappeared as well!
