Autumn is the season when all things ripen and harvest, and it is also a transitional period for the body’s yang to decline and yin to grow. Energy Bagua is a wonderful method for health maintenance and energy supplementation in autumn! The September Energy Bagua Elementary Class at the New York Meditation Center witnessed the students’ abundant harvest and joy!

My cousin has greatly improved her health after practicing Energy Bagua. She encouraged me to come to the Bodhi Meditation Center for learning. I have had lumbar disc herniation for over 30 years, and my lower back often aches, making me very uncomfortable. I’ve undergone various treatments, both traditional Chinese and Western medicine, but none have improved my condition. Doctors have even suggested surgery.

The chronic back pain has also affected my sleep, especially in the past two years. My sleep has worsened, and it’s become difficult to fall asleep. Even when I do, it feels like I’m half awake and half asleep, very shallow sleep. Sometimes, I can’t sleep through the night at all. The combination of back pain and poor sleep has taken a toll on my mental well-being, and I feel tired every day.

What I find miraculous is that on the first day of the Energy Bagua course, I came home in the afternoon and slept for more than two hours. After dinner, around nine o’clock, I went to sleep again, and I slept straight through until early in the morning, a total of nine hours (including the two hours in the afternoon, for a total of 11 hours of sleep)! These days, I haven’t had to wake up in the middle of the night. I sleep soundly until I naturally wake up, and when I get up, I feel refreshed and full of energy!

For the first two days of the course, I took the bus to the Meditation Center. Starting from the third day, I walked to the Meditation Center on my own, which takes over an hour round-trip. I feel my legs are much stronger, and my mood has also improved. Last night, after returning home, I even walked for another hour of Energy Bagua with my cousin in the park. The effects of Energy Bagua are truly miraculous; in just a few days, my health has already begun to improve. I will definitely persevere, and I believe I will become even healthier. I came to the Bodhi Meditation Center on the recommendation of a friend, wanting to experience meditation for the first time. This is my first time attending the Energy Bagua course, and I’m delighted to have this opportunity to meet everyone here. I feel that this center is filled with positive energy.

After completing this course, I’ve noticed an improvement in my sleep. I used to sleep for six hours, but it was relatively shallow sleep. Now, I sleep for eight hours every day, and it’s deeper sleep. I can clearly feel that my mental state has improved, fatigue has disappeared, and my physical strength has also improved.

Twenty years ago, during my postpartum recovery, I might not have taken good care of myself. After that, if I stood for a bit longer or walked a bit more, my back would feel uncomfortable, and I had a sensation of abdominal sagging. These days, while practicing Energy Bagua and wearing the Energy Bagua waistband, I feel that my back doesn’t get tired while walking. I’m very grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi for imparting such a beneficial practice to us, and I’ve benefited greatly from it. I have participated in the Stress Relief Retreat and Chanting Retreat before, and each course has brought me many benefits. I’m grateful to have a center like this in New York. Every time I come to the Meditation Center, my mood relaxes, and I feel at ease.

This is my first time taking the Energy Bagua course. I used to have poor sleep and a bad mood, feeling quite anxious. On the second day of the Energy Bagua course, I noticed an improvement in my sleep. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and then struggle to fall back asleep, but in recent days, I’ve been sleeping more soundly. Sometimes, if I do wake up in the middle of the night, I can quickly fall back asleep.

During the first two days of the course, I felt quite cold at the Meditation Center, even though the temperature was the same as usual. My hands were cold. But by the third or fourth day, I started feeling warm all over, especially when practicing Energy Bagua Aerobics, I even started sweating. I also feel much more relaxed, less fatigued, and my legs and body feel stronger. Gratitude to Grandmaster and gratitude to Bodhi Meditation!

I used to have a habit of using my phone to read novels and watch videos before bedtime, staying up until one or two in the morning every night. When I woke up the next morning, my eyes and neck would feel uncomfortable. In the past few days, I restrained myself from reading novels at night, and I would toss and turn, unable to fall asleep. Although I didn’t sleep much, my energy was still okay. On the sixth night of not reading novels before sleep, I slept straight from 12 o’clock to 6 in the morning.

I used to only be able to do ten prostrations, but this morning I could do 36, and I did another 36 in the evening. I even went for an hour of exercise, and I feel pretty good. After practicing Energy Bagua, I feel that my mind can calm down a bit.

In the initial days of walking Energy Bagua, my arms would feel sore, and I had to put them down frequently. Today, I managed to keep them up without discomfort. I feel that I have lost a lot of weight in these few days. Before, when I wore jeans, I had to suck in my stomach to zip them up, but now I don’t need to. I think I must have lost at least 3-4 pounds; my pants feel much looser. Family and friends have noticed that I’ve slimmed down recently, and even my face looks smaller. I found Bodhi Meditation through Google, and this is my first time attending a course here. The content of the Energy Bagua course exceeded my expectations. I used to be a very active person, I could dance and go to the gym. My legs used to hurt a lot. Two weeks ago, for some reason, my left arm started to hurt, and I couldn’t lift it, which was very troubling. Despite feeling uncomfortable all over and walking very slowly, I persevered. In this course, I’ve clearly noticed an improvement in my sleep. Previously, I would sleep at 9 pm and wake up at around 3 am, unable to fall back asleep. Now, I can sleep from 9 pm straight through to 5 am, getting a full eight hours of sleep. This is a significant improvement. The feeling that Energy Bagua gives me can be described in just one word: “excellent”! Even though it’s been only a short seven days, I’ve experienced many miraculous changes. I had bloating in my abdomen for over ten years, feeling distended and uncomfortable. After walking Energy Bagua for seven days, my lower abdomen has loosened up, and the bloating has dissipated.

Normally, our minds are constantly racing, thinking non-stop 24 hours a day. However, when I’m walking Energy Bagua, I calm down, observe the trees, and my mind finds focus. It becomes more peaceful, and I can easily let go of worries and anxieties.

I have issues with my knee joints, and I need injections for lubrication. When I wake up in the morning, my knees used to feel stiff and uncomfortable. During these days of the Energy Bagua course, I’ve noticed that my knees feel lighter and less burdensome in the morning. While practicing Energy Bagua, I sweat a lot, and it feels like my body is getting rid of excess moisture. So, I feel more relaxed physically and mentally, and I’m grateful to Grandmaster.

I’m very happy to attend this course together with my husband, and we’ve both benefited greatly. Gratitude to Grandmaster! I’ve had a busy life for a long time, sleeping only about four hours a day. I used to go to bed after 1 AM and wake up around 5 AM. I often felt exhausted, so tired that sometimes I couldn’t even get up. I used to feel fearful of stairs, and my heart felt tired.

Since practicing Energy Bagua, my body has undergone noticeable changes. I hadn’t sweated for over seven years, but while doing Energy Bagua exercises, I started sweating. When walking Energy Bagua, I can sweat now, and my body feels more comfortable.

My left arm has been hurting for about five or six months. It would hurt when I raised it or extended it. When I first started doing the “Punch and Kick” action for Energy Bagua Aerobics, my arm couldn’t stretch out without pain, but now I can raise it high and extend it without any pain.

The effects of Energy Bagua are comprehensive, improving every aspect of our bodies. Previously, my joints would make cracking sounds when I walked, and my body felt heavy. Lifting my legs felt cumbersome, so climbing stairs was challenging, and jumping was impossible. On the fifth day of the course, I started feeling lighter, and climbing stairs became easy. I could even jump! Two days ago, I even demonstrated jumping to my daughter, and she was thrilled.

I had previously injured my back, and it would flare up every few years. When my back acted up, I would have to stay in bed for two weeks, eat lying down, and my son and daughter had to assist me when I needed to use the bathroom. It was terrible. I used to be cautious and didn’t dare to move my waist much. Now I feel relaxed all over, my back has loosened up, and I can safely move my waist.

I have four children, and there were many worries, making me feel tense every day. I couldn’t let go of anything. Now I feel my heart is lighter, with fewer worries. I really like the Meditation Center because it helps calm my mind. Every time I come here, I don’t want to leave. I’m deeply grateful for Grandmaster’s practice, which has helped me relax and significantly improved my health!

I walked into Bodhi Meditation in June this year at my sister’s recommendation. I have attended the Bodhi Meditation Health and Happiness Retreat, Stress Relief Retreat, and the Energy Bagua Elementary Class. In each class, I have continuously benefited, and I’m deeply grateful to Grandmaster JinBodhi.

Before coming to the Meditation Center, my complexion was dark and dull, and I felt exhausted. I had no energy, and once I got home, I didn’t want to go out anymore. Whether it was shopping at the supermarket or buying things, I would feel tired. After taking the Energy Bagua course, my vitality improved, and I had more strength in my legs. I used to like lying on the sofa, but now I prefer walking.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, and my finger joints couldn’t straighten, my fingers were stiff and cold, and my arms and shoulders were also stiff. Now, I’ve improved significantly. My hands have become warmer, and my fingers and palms are much more flexible. When I attended the Energy Bagua course in July, my index finger couldn’t straighten, and my wrist couldn’t bend properly. Now, my index finger can stand straight, and my arms are much more relaxed. I’m very grateful to Grandmaster for teaching us Energy Bagua and the various methods of meditation, which have allowed me to regain my health. I look forward to participating in future classes.

In November last year, I attended the Energy Bagua course for the first time. I can’t help but share the benefits of my first class with everyone. My left shoulder, extending to the shoulder blades on my back, had been very stiff for eight years, diagnosed by doctors as joint degeneration. I had tried various treatments, and even injections didn’t bring relief. I thought I would have to live with the pain. On the first day of the Energy Bagua course, I could clearly feel the effects. My upper back felt much more relaxed, and I experienced less pain when sleeping at night. After completing the course, I continued walking for 100 days, and the joint degeneration that had troubled me for over eight years completely improved.

This time, I came to attend the course to deepen my understanding of Energy Bagua because I’ve been walking for a while, and sometimes I might not have the correct posture without realizing it. I gained a lot this time, as the content of the Energy Bagua course has been updated. Through Grandmaster’s teachings, I gained a new understanding of Energy Bagua and a clearer grasp of its steps and mantras.

During my first class, I focused mainly on the external movements, but this time, I realized that Energy Bagua is also about cultivating our focus, concentration, and willpower, which I didn’t fully grasp during my first class.

My sleep has also improved. On the third day, I slept for a continuous nine hours, and my overall energy and spirit improved significantly. After contracting COVID-19 recently, I felt my immune system weaken, and my physical strength diminished. I felt tired and lacked vitality. After practicing Energy Bagua for a few rounds, I would feel exhausted. In the first three to four days before the course, I still felt tired after walking Energy Bagua. However, as of today, I can practice for about an hour without feeling tired, and my physical energy increases every day. I’m grateful to Grandmaster for imparting Energy Bagua to us.
