— Through the Grandmaster’s Great Compassionate Vows, countless lives have been transformed
🔹 A Warm Celebration in the Midst of Winter
On January 24, Bodhi Meditation New York solemnly and joyfully held a gratitude celebration in honor of Grandmaster JinBodhi’s Birthday. While icy winds swept the streets outside, the Center was filled with warmth—overflowing with the joy and gratitude of disciples and fellow practitioners.
For many, this day was not only a precious occasion to respectfully celebrate the Grandmaster’s Birthday, but also an important moment to reflect on their own life transformations and to give thanks for the causes and conditions that led to renewal and rebirth.

🔹 Gratitude Cards · Bearing True Testimonies of Life
Outside the Medicine Buddha Hall, more than two hundred gratitude cards were displayed—each word a sincere and profound testimony of real life transformation:
- Some had endured long-term illness and deep physical and emotional suffering, yet gradually regained their health through cultivation and practice.
- Some had experienced family discord, but through learning compassion and tolerance, harmony was restored.
- Others had lost their way during the lowest points of life; it was the Grandmaster’s teachings that helped them stand up again, rediscovering hope and inner strength.
Each transformation of life arose from the Grandmaster’s selfless, boundless compassion and great love.

🔹 Flower Offering · Carrying Sincere Gratitude
The flowers offered before the Buddhas were more than a ceremonial gesture. They carried the disciples’ heartfelt gratitude and deep reverence in honor of the Grandmaster’s compassionate vow, “to help all beings free from suffering and attain happiness.”

🔹 Singing and Dancing · Expressing Gratitude from the Heart
During the celebration, teams from the Kitchen, Logistics, Outdoor Dharma Outreach, Teaching, Event Coordination, Front Desk Reception, Cashier and Light Offering, and other service groups took turns coming on stage to present their dance performances.
Many were not professional performers, yet it was precisely this simplicity and sincerity that made the performances so deeply moving. The steps may have been simple and imperfect, but they were filled with heartfelt gratitude for the Grandmaster. Once burdened by illness and suffering, they now stood on stage in health and joy—dancing the happiness of renewed life.

🔹 United in Support · Vowing to Spread Compassion and Light
All teams worked together with wholehearted dedication to support the Center, united by a single shared vow:
to bring the Grandmaster’s compassion and light to more sentient beings.
Through their actions, they put their vows into practice; through selfless service, they repaid the Grandmaster’s kindness. Their sincerity deeply moved every fellow practitioner present.

🔹 Volunteer Sharing · From Receiving Blessings to Making Vows
Several volunteers took the stage to share their personal journeys—how they moved from illness, anxiety, and confusion toward health, stability, and renewed hope.
After their sharing, they each made heartfelt vows:
to walk the path the Grandmaster walks, to serve and benefit sentient beings at the Center, and to repay the Grandmaster’s great kindness through their actions.

🔹 Passing on the Light · Repaying the Grandmaster’s Grace Through Action
Having experienced profound life transformations through the Grandmaster’s compassion, they are even more willing to continue passing on this light—repaying the Grandmaster’s kindness through concrete actions, so that more people may leave suffering and attain happiness.
Because they encountered the Grandmaster, they were able to emerge from darkness and begin anew. And for this very reason, an even firmer vow has arisen within them: to serve the public, support the Center, and repay this deep and boundless grace.

🔹 Lighting the Lamps of Fulfillment · Offering Light to Light
On the altar, two Lamps of Fulfillment were lit through the heartfelt offerings of more than two hundred fellow practitioners. They symbolized a simple yet profound truth—
offering light to light.
Because the Grandmaster has illuminated our lives, we in turn dedicate this light of gratitude to the Grandmaster and to all sentient beings.
🔹 United in Blessings · May the Bodhi Meditation Shine Everywhere
As the event drew to a close, all practitioners joined together in a collective blessing:
“Respectfully wishing the Grandmaster a Happy Birthday.
May the Bodhi Meditation mission flourish and thrive,
benefit countless sentient beings,
and let its light illuminate the world.”
