A Joyful Gathering to Celebrate Buddha’s Birthday
On May 23, New York Bodhi Meditation Center held the “Buddha’s Birthday Happy Carnival” at the Sheraton Hotel. Filled with laughter and joy, nearly 1,500 guests came together to celebrate the birthday of Shakyamuni Buddha and receive blessings of compassion, light, and happiness. The venue was both solemn and festive, radiating warmth, peace, and joy—like a grand celebration filled with love and blessings.

Joy Everywhere from the Moment You Arrived
From the moment guests stepped into the venue, they were welcomed by colorful decorations and a vibrant festive atmosphere, instantly feeling the warmth and joy of Buddha’s Birthday. The stage featured a lively lineup of wonderful performances, including cultural presentations from different countries and communities. Laughter filled the game area, the blessing and energy healing area welcomed a steady stream of visitors, and the vegetarian food section delighted guests with delicious aromas.
Families arrived together—grandparents, parents, and children—all sharing smiles of joy and gratitude. Some made heartfelt wishes while bathing the Buddha, some experienced relaxation and renewed energy through energy healing, while others rediscovered a long-lost sense of inner peace and happiness amidst the celebration.

Endless Fun and Meaningful Experiences
The carnival offered a rich variety of interactive experiences, including Buddha bathing, flower offerings, lucky draws, fun games, a shopping street, delicious vegetarian cuisine, energy healing, and stage performances. Guests enthusiastically participated throughout the day, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere filled with celebration.

Planting Seeds of Compassion for the Future
During this special event, the “Seeds of Compassion” initiative was officially introduced to the public for the first time. As New York Bodhi Meditation prepares for a new meditation center, this project invites more people to take part in a meaningful shared aspiration.
With a simple offering from the heart, participants could plant a seed of compassion, create positive blessings for themselves and their families, and receive blessings during the future Grand Consecration Ceremony. Though a single seed may seem small, it carries kindness, hope, and blessings. May these seeds take root and grow, bringing greater health, happiness, and light—and allowing even more people to benefit from Bodhi Meditation.

The Most Heartwarming Sight: Our Volunteers
One of the most touching parts of the event was the dedication of the volunteers, who served tirelessly from morning until evening with sincerity, warmth, and joyful hearts. They welcomed every guest with kindness, helping create an atmosphere filled with warmth and compassion. Every greeting, every smile, and every helping hand allowed people to feel the genuine flow of kindness and goodwill.

Buddha’s Birthday: A Reminder for the Heart
Buddha’s Birthday is more than a celebration—it is a reminder of compassion, wisdom, and awakening. On this sacred and auspicious day, people gathered together to bathe the Buddha, purify the heart, create positive connections, and offer blessings to themselves, their loved ones, and the world.
May each person plant a seed of compassion and light within their heart, allowing it to grow into greater health, happiness, peace, and hope for the future.

Gratitude to All Who Made This Possible
New York Bodhi Meditation sincerely thanks every guest, volunteer, and supporter whose participation and dedication made this joyful celebration possible. ❤️
May the Buddha’s light shine upon all.
May auspicious blessings always be with you.
May there be peace in the world, and happiness for all beings.
